The first time I came across Feng Shui, I used to be skeptical. Why on earth just simply by utilizing a compass and a bagua map as a guide for arranging your furniture or getting rid of any of them can affect your overall health and unfortunately your financial success? I reckon that the effect of one feeling good in an uncluttered feng shui room is probably psychological. In fact, this proved me wrong when I learned about scientific proof that energy flow that resulted from Feng Shui practice is in fact real.
Typically for the ancient Chinese, Feng Shui was considered mystical. But now modern science can explain the effects of Feng Shui through quantum physics.
The following is one of the scientific discoveries about Feng Shui:
A person’s mind can be altered from an alert state (beta) to a meditative state (alpha) only just by entering a space (room) which has been applied Feng Shui to it. In simple term it means that your disorderly beta brain waves change to meditative alpha waves when you enter a good feng shui room.
Stop saying “I don’t believe it. It doesn’t make sense”. Okay, here’s the proof.
A volunteer was connected to a mobile EEG device to observe his brain waves. Scientists then brought him to a room without any Feng Shui applied to it. They noticed that his brain waves seemed to be in beta. They then called a Feng Shui consultant to do feng shui to the room by rearranging the furniture. The volunteer was then called back into this same room. They were stunned to find out that his brain waves immediately changed to a hypnotic alpha state while he was in the room.
Quite a few people can see the actual energy flow like the Feng Shui expert, Marie Diamond. This lady can literally see this flow the same as the water flowing in a river. For example, whenever she looks at any spiky plant, she is able to see the energy shooting from the leaves. Therefore having any spiky plant at the rear of your couch will have that energy piercing through you and it impacts on your health.
This specific energy called qi would move freely coming in from one window and leaving through the other window and its flow will be only stopped by anything that stands on its way. Therefore arranging and organizing furniture in the correct way and removing any clutter would certainly improve this flow.
Once your room has a good energy flow it is said to have a good feng shui. Numerous studies have been shown that among the many ways to get into the alpha state is to be in a room with good Feng Shui; because your brain will almost instantly produce more alpha waves. Hence if you’re considering of meditation then ensure that your room provides a good feng shui.
